The Second Floor Hallway Plaster Molding Restoration

This project was a time consuming three fold project.  A molding edge was added below the plaster ceiling molding.  The walls were skinned with 1/4" sheetrock and the plaster molding was all refurbished back to it's original design.

This should give a good indication of the general condition of the hallway prior to starting the project.

The previous picture is to the immediate right of this one.

This is the worst part of the hallway molding.

The addition of this flexible molding makes the transition to the 1/4" sheetrock look natural.

Here the sheetrock is added and some of the plaster work has been started.

As each coat goes on around the entire hallway things shape up dailly.

The right side.  This is the chimney wall.

There is a lot more to follow.  I just realized I didn't finish this page.  3/20/07  and just coming back to this page I realize I still have to upload the pictures.  4/4/07
