COMING SOON
Here is where I show off my artistic abilities with plaster.

Pictures will show stages of before, during and after.  Enjoy

Above the door is where I am currently working.

Here is a closer view.

With a straight edge screwed into place the work is about to commence.

The first fill.

Then adding additional guides on top of each other the layers take shape.

a second pass.

And for now that's all that is done in this section of the room.  March 8,07
I put a smoothing white coat along this little section just because I had a
little bit of a mix left over so I will add that pic as soon as I take it.

And here it is.  This is what this section looks like today. 3/20/07

And now here is what this looks like as of 3/26/07

I just started working on this section as well.  This is the before picture.

Starting off by getting some defined lines to work from.  3/26/07

Not a good picture but this section is half way done in this shot.  I have not been back to revisit this section as of yet.  3/26/07.

Here is a short section of molding missing in yet another room.

and yet another section needing some loving attention.

The follow up finished pictures will come soon.  I will just have to retake the pictures.  The hardest part of keeping up this web site for me has been the fact that none of my pictures are in a cronological order.  Live and learn.

Go back up 2 pictures and this is what that section of the molding looks like today!

So now go back up 2 pictures from here and this is what that section looks like today.

This is a current overview of what that section looks like between the 2 closets right now.  Please keep in mind that this is ongoing work and some of the other projects take presidence and I have to skip back and forth between ongoing mini projects.  But rest assured that projects like this are never done until I say it's done.  I will be going back into this room
as soon as I finish the corbels for the hall. Maybe 3/21/07

I am back in the Master Bedroom now and it is looking really well in a mere few days.  I will add more pictures very soon.  3/27/07.  For more
pictures from the Master Bedroom please go to the new page titled The
O V Master Bedroom Plaster Work.  That page is now done.

3 or 4 inches of the entire molding was missing at the bottom end closest to the woodwork.  I have formed tools to fit both concave & convex curves to shape and hone down the wet plaster I am working with.

By the time I finish it looks original.

And here it is ready to be lightly sanded and caulked to fit snug to the refinished woodwork.

And that's where it's at presently.

The hallway is skim coated with 1/4 " sheetrock and this space needs to be fitted and filled.  I have already repaired the ceiling molding seen here.

With the piece in place, taping and spackle can begin.

Plaster filled .... finished pic will turn up someplace and I'll add it in later.

And here is this section as it stands today.  3/20/07  The corbels are what I am working on right now and they are the last things to be finished before the second and third floor are to be painted.  Getting close.  The corbels are going to be on another web page at this site soon.
