There were no before pictures taken on this project. I took out the old cast
iron double sink and the old counter top as well as a formica backsplash.
The project was templated for the granite counter top and in the interim
I measured the backsplash tile height and reset the positions of all the electrical outlets so that they did not fall within the path of the stripe tile. The inlaid stripe was set to run directly center of the space and immediately beneath the window sill. A marble bullnose was ordered for the end runs of the tilework to have a defined ending point. All of the patching in the sheetrock was done and the tile was set with thinset. The
tile is actually a tumbled marble. Spacers were used in all of the joints since some of the tile sizes varied slightly. Of course the granite counter tops were installed prior to setting the backsplash tile.

I also installed the plumbing inclusive of the garbage disposal
The trim tile stripe pertrudes out from the wall enough to make the cover plates for the electrical outlets look terrible if I had not repositioned the outlets.
You may notice that all tilework is centerer across the wall span so cuts are the same size, obviously by design. :)
There is a small microwave unit on the countertop on the right side of this picture that makes for a bit of deception in the flow of the tile ... at least for me it did.
My work looks good. What I am finding is that I need to develope more photographing skills and
