I decided to give this project it's own page since the
number of pictures has increased.   Some work in a
house that has settling going on for lengthly periods
of time can only compensate for such changes to a certain degree.   This makes me crazy and I have a difficult time drawing the line on what that degree is for me.   What I can tell you is that the art of illusion plays a large part in creating an astetic looking finished product that is comfortably acceptable to the
eye of the beholder.

The only way to make my point is to get on with the pictures ....

Looking at the top center of this picture, the deep groove in the moulding in between the wall and the ceiling is
narrow in the middle and gets wider as you look left and right.  The reasoning behind this is behind the wall.  You can not see that this is a fireplace wall so in the center of this wall between these 2 doors is a brick chimney than runs up the entire height of the house supporting the center of the wall.  All settling is to the left and right of the chimney.

fill coats and feathering coats go on and on ...

and all around the room.

sometimes I have to get creative with the tools I use as well.

Tomorrow some finished pictures of the feathering corrections will be added.  3/28/07

front wall  details are being lost in the pictures but the final pictures should show up the detailing after the room is painted.

Here is the chimney wall center view, primed and needing only a few minor touch ups.  You can see that the ceiling patch ... also primed is looking good at this point.

Here is the left side view of the chimney wall and that is the pitch that will remain in the plaster molding.  It's time to move the work outdoors.  The
room will be painted since timing with the painter is critical and this room is about to be used as the Master Bedroom.

Here is the right side of the chimney wall showing the final pitch in the ceiling molding.  Still a lot better than it was before.

On the door wall a little more priming needs to be done but not too much.

A little more priming is also needed on the front wall.  A little more touch up on the ceiling is also needed and these details will be finished tomorrow.
That will complete my end of the work in this room that needed to be done prior to being painted.  Today is 4/1/07

I was not so thrilled about how the pictures were not showing the fine detail in the moldings so I finished the room and took final pics with a little zoom,
more lighting and up closer to the work itself.

Looking at the chimney wall back from a distance and the ceiling patch work.  The ceiling was previously stucco designed so I had to match the initial pattern that was already there.

More of the ceiling patch work.

and one last view of the ceiling patch work.

This will be the end of the pictures for this project until the painter is finished.  But don't forget where this project started ... as seen in the next two pictures.

Here is the chimney wall left side before I started this project.

And here is the right side of the chimney wall before the project began.

Soon to come will be the outside projects that are to be worked on next.

But there is a little change up in my plans.   I will finish doing the patch work I previously started in the small room next to this Master Bedroom
since it will be the Dressing Room to the Master Bedroom.
