THE OLD VICRORIAN DINING ROOM Wainscott Trimwork First All of the old woodwork was removed and disgarded. Brand new wood was installed. So lets get right to the pictures.  around the room we go ... a little cleaner view. patching the walls is going on at the same time. Multi-tasking :) You get the general idea so lets get to some staining pictures. I am using a dark walnut gel stain which is fabulous stuff to work with. At this point in time you will notice that I have already installed the chair rail top molding that I routed from 5/4 stock. The walls are all finished and prime painted as well. More than one coat will be needed as is apparent under the window here. The room is looking pretty dark but don't make a judgement call yet. Moving right along ... and taking shape quite nicely .... notice the radiator is not green anymore ... a project in itself. I built ramps down the side steps to get it outdoors to strip and powerwash the heavy cast iron monstrosity. It is spray painted so there was no way that was being done indoors either. There are 2 corner closets in this room. The door on the left enters into the kitchen. Also brand new and the framing is reworked. oops terrible picture but I will leave this one until I retake a new one. THE W O W Factor ............ Surprise ! ! !
